Each year, pigeons tried to nest on our balcony, once after a short trip away they succeeded. I found one egg.

It wasn't wasted. I gave it to Sakura and she swallowed it eagerly (Elaphe climacophora).

Some of the snakes I have might outlive me - the pythons can live many decades. They will adapt to new homes most likely, and only they will know if they miss me.

It's a strange thing to keep a wild animal. Not something to do lightly.
