I agree with the thrust of your article - I wonder how many people who previously disagreed will read it and be nudged into thought/action. But that is the one of the problems that we face.
Only think to add, for those able is sto start to build efficiencey and redundancy into their systems. Trickier to do this individually or in a small group in big cities, but not impossible. Locally sourced food, water, heat from multiple sources. It may not be enough, but it is a counter example to central, monosourced and multinational. Doing this may nudge the culture, and it'll take some strain off resources if things get really tricky.
