Architecture certainly has great potential to make significant differences.
This is a UK thing - recently a protest group with the terrifyingly sinister title of Insulate Britain repeatedly casued traffic chaos with the absoultely insane demands of improving home energy efficiency through insulation.
The Government, rather than actually deciding this was a good idea introduced harsher anti-protest laws.
Since then energy prices skyrocketed, then space rocketed again with the satrt of the Ukraine war.
The government has paid for fuel subsidies because too many people were stuck with a choice between heating and eating. Money which could have gone to saving energy...
