Wow, you've wound a few people up with this one. Some of them have points though.

I do not believe in lizard people, or new world orders.

What I believe in is human incompetency and the importance of following incentives.

Elaborate conspiracy theories are ridiculous to me because there is no way in my experience that any organisation would be competent enough to cover them up. For every cover up you add another dozen potentially weak links into the chain.

Perhaps the conspiracists believe themselves to be supremely competent and therefore believe the enemy is supremely competent too.

Humans are NOT supremely competent - but perhaps lizard people could be....

Another thing I'm pretty sure of, you won't get people to change their minds by demonising them for their perceived heroism.

Still, it's good to rant sometimes.
